This website is intended to be a NEW home for the NEW TIME. And what is the NEW TIME?
In 1987, José Argüelles and former wife Lloydine started a NEW CALENDAR, based on the advanced time science devised by the ancient Maya of Mesoamerica. This is how, on July 26, 1987, a NEW way to perceive TIME on Earth was presented to humanity. They called this NEW CALENDAR the Dreamspell or Wizard´s Count. Later, in 1989, at the Museum of Time in Geneva (Switzerland), the couple also noted that the Maya based their calculations in cycles of 13 in contrast with the 12 units measured by the clock and the Gregorian calendar. This led to the discovery of the ‘Law of Time’, that makes a distinction between “natural time” and artificial timing frequencies, and to the creation of the World 13 Moon Calendar Change Peace Movement.
In 2016, the Global Council for Calendar Awareness launched a 4-year educational campaign to re-introduce the concept of a 13-Month, 28-Day calendar, referred to by Argüelles as the “untried solution”, as a way to help humanity get back into sync and alignment with natural cycles. Phase one (2016-2020) completes on July 25th, 2020, and phase two begins on July 26, 2020 (Day one of the Magnetic Moon of Purpose in the Blue Lunar Storm Year).
